Navigation

The numeric keypad (or buttons in DocReader) can serve to navigate between words, sentences, paragraphs, to stop or pause speech, to change the volume of the voice, etc.

It is very easy for children to listen to a story on their own, sentence by sentence, word by word or paragraph by paragraph.

DocReader can highlight the words it reads out. The program will highlight the text word per word, as it goes on to read the text. This helps you to keep track of the current reading position in the text.

DocReader contains a very powerful reading utility. With DocTool, you can select a piece of text in any Windows program (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, MSN messenger, and Outlook Express) and press the Play button to hear the selected piece of text (and e.g. listen to any internet page). This reading tool is very easy to use (a Play and a Stop button, a button to close DocTool and a button to select another voice). It is possible to hide DocReader so a user will only see DocTool.
