This speaking word processor can assist people with dyslexia to read their texts with less effort. KeyVit: On-screen keyboard

KeyVit is an assistive technology solution that provides computer access to every Windows program and assists people who cannot use a standard keyboard or mouse (such as people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or cerebral palsy). It is a virtual on-screen keyboard which can be accessed by any pointing device (mouse, rollerball, glidepad, headpointer, joystick) or single or multiple switch scanning. Skippy: Word prediction software

Skippy can save about half the number of keystrokes for people who find typing very difficult (due to arthritis, a limited hand function, physical limitations, impairments or disabilities) or who want to speed up their one handed typing.

This word prediction program is able to guess the word you want to type by looking at the previous word and the first letters of the new word. Skippy learns while you type and adapts itself to your vocabulary so you can type even faster. You can type in any Windows program, as a typing aid Skippy will automatically assist you.

This program is one of the few full-featured word prediction programs around and can also be used as a writing support tool for people with dyslexia. It integrates with DocReader so you can hear the words that Skippy suggests while you type.
