The multitasking head probe by OrthotiConcepts gives a person more independence than traditional head probes. It uses a bracket containing a variety of alternative probes.
Assembly
The multitask head probe will be almost fully assembled when it arrives to you. The probe is the only part not assembled at packing. You just need to use the allen key provided to properly attach the probe.
Headsize
The knob at the rear of the main head band is turned to increase or decrease headsize adjustment. The band that goes across the top of the head can be lengthened or shortened depending on high or low the user prefers to wear the unit.
Chinstrap
The chinstrap has a simple snaplock fastening. Correct fitting of the headsizing adjustments has meant that some users can do without headstraps, but this is an individual preference.
Magnet Adjustment
There is an adjustment available to alter the magnet strength holding the probes. The reason for the adjustment option is that not all users have the same strength to pull the probes apart.
Practice
If a user has previously used a conventional head probe, the Multitasker will take a little practice. But the learning curve is quite quick. The unit gives a significant degree of independence to people who would otherwise rely on somebody else.
