Skippy bases its suggestions on word lists. The default english word list used for word prediction contains over 25,000 words (other languages such as french, dutch, italian, and german are automatically installed and immediately accessible as well).

A new word list can be created in two simple steps:

1) Go to Menu > Wordlist

2) Choose New list and enter a new name.

Skippy can immediately find out about your own vocabulary by learning from existing text files (such as e-books) or text files you have typed yourself. All new words in those texts will be added to the word list, and the frequency of existing words will be updated.

But Skippy can also learn all new words while you type and add these words to the word list automatically.

You can switch to a new word list whenever you like. For most texts, the standard english word list will do. But to type a text on football, for instance, using a word list that includes a lot of specific football expressions and idioms can be very useful.

Therefore, Skippy allows you to make new word lists, based on the standard english word list and extended with words and phrases about your favorite subjects. That way, Skippy can rapidly predict words about these subjects (such as football), while it can still predict the regular english words. This has proven to be very effective and will help you to type even faster.
